Privacy Policy

Last updated 14 September 2026

Camera Quests is a photography game. This policy describes exactly what the app collects, why it needs it, and how to get rid of it. Questions: cameraquests@yahoo.com.

What we collect

What we do not collect

How your photos are used

Quest photos are stored privately. They are shown to a small number of other players for judging, always anonymously — judges see the Quest and the two photos, never who took them. Your own photos are visible to you in your Trophy Case. Photos are not public, not indexed by search engines and not sold.

Camera permission

Camera Quests uses the rear camera so you can photograph and submit your Quest entry. The camera is only active on the capture screen. If you deny camera access the app explains what happened instead of failing silently, but you will not be able to submit a Quest entry.

Who processes your data

We use managed cloud infrastructure for authentication, database and encrypted photo storage, and standard cloud hosting to serve the app. These providers process data strictly on our behalf. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account. Deletion permanently removes your login, profile, Quest photos, submissions, votes, reports, blocks and results. Anonymous aggregate counts (for example, how many Quests have been played) may remain, and we may retain limited records where the law requires it. Deletion cannot be undone.

Children

Camera Quests is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export or erase your data. Email cameraquests@yahoo.com and we will respond.
